Tee off in some of the best and most picturesque golf courses in Wales. There are more than 140 courses across the compact country with plenty of world-class layouts that should be top of every golfer’s bucket list.

From signature courses on the edge of famous seaside towns to expansive layouts designed for some of the sport’s most elite players, there is a golf course in North and South Wales perfect for every player of any skill level.

 

 

One of the most famous of these courses is perhaps Celtic Manor Resort’s Twenty Ten course in Newport. It was purposely built when Wales hosted the 2010 prestigious Ryder Cup 2010 and the robust course still stands as one of Wales’ proudest sporting achievements.

Wales also boasts two of the 64 golf courses around the world that have bestowed the royal title by a member of the United Kingdom, these being Royal St David’s and Royal Porthcawl. Aberdovey Golf Club is another crown jewel of Wales’ golfing landscape and is a terrific choice when visiting Gwynedd.
