March in the Pride Cymru Parade

The sequin-studded Pride Cymru Parade will take place on Saturday 17th June. It all started back in 1985, when a few hundred members of the LGBTQ+ community threw together a lowkey march. Since then, the parade has mushroomed and become one of the biggest events on the global LGBTQ+ calendar.

Purchase a Saturday ticket to watch the parade or even better, follow the link on the Pride Cymru website to find out more about how to join the parade.

Join the Pride Cymru Market

From tongue-in-cheek LGBTQ+ merch to handmade arts, crafts and jewellery, the Pride Cymru Market is a highlight of the event. Want to join the market? Follow the link on the website to book your stall or find out more about the limited number of stalls offered to charities, community groups and grassroots organisations.

Volunteer at Pride Cymru

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Pride Cymru. It’s a fantastic way to give back to the LGBTQ+ community and be a part of something amazing. Not to mention learn new skills, boost your confidence and meet likeminded locals.

Want to volunteer at Pride Cymru? Follow the links on the website or contact the team via volunteers@pridecymru.com to express your interest and find out more. You’ll need to attend a handful of training and information sessions before the big weekend.

Accessibility at Pride Cymru

Equality, diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of Pride Cymru. So, it’s no surprise the festival has earned GOLD status from disabled advocacy group, Attitude is Everything. Organisers have worked closely with the group to ensure Pride Cymru is an accessible-friendly event.

Get up to speed at LGBTQ+ workshops and training sessions

Pride Cymru is dedicated to quashing prejudice and discrimination towards the LGBTQ+ community. A big part of this is education. In the lead up to Pride Cymru, organisers are offering a series of LGBTQ+ workshops and training sessions designed to inform and educate organisations of all shapes and sizes. The goal is to help build workplaces that are inclusive and supportive.

Themes include allyship training to help participants understand the unique experiences, barriers and challenges faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community, and how to step up as a genuine supporter. Myth busting training sessions cover a wide range of topics and encourage participants to question their ingrained biases and challenge stereotypes. You’ll also see workshops spotlighting diversity, trans awareness and how to use pronouns and other LGBTQ+ terminology.

Fill out the contact form on the website to find out more!

Find your safe space at Pride Cymru

There’s a zero tolerance policy for abuse and hateful language. Pride Cymru is all about creating safe spaces for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their supporters. At its heart, Pride Cymru is a celebration of love. Bring your heart-shaped glasses and you’ll fit right in!
