Get up to speed at LGBTQ+ workshops and training sessions
Pride Cymru is dedicated to quashing prejudice and discrimination towards the LGBTQ+ community. A big part of this is education. In the lead up to Pride Cymru, organisers are offering a series of LGBTQ+ workshops and training sessions designed to inform and educate organisations of all shapes and sizes. The goal is to help build workplaces that are inclusive and supportive.
Themes include allyship training to help participants understand the unique experiences, barriers and challenges faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community, and how to step up as a genuine supporter. Myth busting training sessions cover a wide range of topics and encourage participants to question their ingrained biases and challenge stereotypes. You’ll also see workshops spotlighting diversity, trans awareness and how to use pronouns and other LGBTQ+ terminology.
